HOT ON DVD right now and available in the Redbox is "X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST"! X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST takes place after "The Wolverine" where both Charles Xavier (The Professor) and Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) come together to ask Logan (Wolverine) to travel back in time to change history so that their enemy-the enemy of all mutants good or bad-would never come into existence. Wolverine is asked to travel back to the year 1973 where he has to pursue Raven (Mystique) before she kills Bolivar Trask the creator of their enemy the Sentinels.
Before Wolverine travels back in time he learns of Mystique's past success in killing Bolivar. Once she killed him she herself was captured and her DNA, because of her ability to adapt and change into anyone, was used in the final creation of the Sentinels, making them harder for the mutants to fight, which eventually lead to the end of all mutants and human who helped aid them.

Wolverine is asked, as he travels back in time, to find Charles Xavier (The Professor) and Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) because he would need their help to stop Mystique and change the course of events. This would not be an easy task for Wolverine because he's stepping into the middle of a fight between The Professor and Magneto who is locked away-away from any metal-and is suppose to remain there for the rest of his life. Wolverine has to convince them to work together for the common cause of saving the entire mutant race.
MY REVIEW: I found X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST to be very humorous. There are a lot of funny moments between Logan, Charles and Magneto. Over all, the action was consistent and I was very entertained and I thought they executed the story very well. At the end of this particular installment it did leave me with a question. Will Logan now be able to alter the future of those he love and change their outcome now that he's lived in both the future and the past? Because he was able to go back in time and keep his memory, just that journey alone did change much of the future as he knew it but he still holds memory of the past before it was changed. I guess only time will tell how they choose to bring that full circle. For all you comic book readers, you all rock! I haven't read any of the X-MEN comics although I'm a huge fan of the movie serious, so I know that you may already have the answers to my questions lol. Over all I give the movie a 4 star out of 5. It is well worth the rental or even purchasing it on DVD! -Monica/TVandPopcorn
By the end of Revenge Season 4 Episode 8 "Contact" we fans where gripping our seats and screaming at the TV saying "DAVID YOU BETTER TALK TO YOUR DAUGHTER" or maybe it was just me! 'Contact' brought us the engagement between Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke and her father David Clarke that we all have been waiting for but it wasn't exactly how we expected it all to go down.
THE STRUGGLE: At first it was very hard for Emily to understand her father; where has he been all of this time and why didn't he save her since he was actually alive but presumed dead? Another thing that really threw Emily off as she was speaking with her father is the fact that he would want to protect Victoria Grayson not knowing her part in his incarceration and Emily's childhood.
THE PHOTO: The initial photo that sent Emily off in a rage, that made her want to tell her father the truth was a photo of the posed Amanda Clarke. She thought that her father had been following the posed Emily all this time and wanted to know why he never reached out if he was so close, so close that he could take such pictures. David made Emily aware that he didn't take the photos of the posed Amanda. By the end of this episode Emily finally got her answer of where her father has been all of this time.
WHO AM I? WHERE AM I?: David informed Emily that someone else staged his death in the prison but it wasn't Conrad Grayson. He stated that some really bad people wanted to make him do some really bad things but he refused. When they threatened Amanda he did what he had to do to keep her safe. He didn't escape them until he found out Amanda-the posed Amanda-died. Once he found out about her death he escaped and went off the grid.
WHAT NOW?: Now, in the up and coming episodes I'm sure it will be revealed who's really after David. At this point I do understand why David has been acting funny all of this time. I do feel that he's been going by miss information and he really thought that the posed Amanda was his daughter. I don't believe that he wouldn't ever expect in a million years that his daughter would fake her identity in order to bring down all those who wronged him. After watching 'Contact' I feel we've been dealing with a father who doesn't know anything about his daughter and hasn't followed her life since she was seven and the same with a daughter who hasn't seen her father since she was seven. Where will their relationship go from here? Will they get closer now that he knows who she is? Will others find out who she is? Will those coming after David now pursue her if they find out who she is? What does Victoria have planned next for Emily now that the secrets out to David? I liked it better when Victoria was knocked out cold; she was quieter and unable to lie and plan her next moves.
THE PROMISE: At the end of 'Contact' Emily promised her father that she would stay out of his affairs and allow him to handle those who are coming after him. This was all said after two men tried to kidnap David from the hospital room of Victoria Grayson who suffered an electric shock in the previous episode. Emily saved David once again and at that moment he realized that in some way he does need her and he recognized how strong she'd become. He told Emily that he couldn't be her father because he needed to protect her from those who are after him. Emily promised that she would allow him to take care of it himself but she didn't have any intention on keeping her promise. In the last scene of 'Contact' we see Emily questioning a man for answers as to who he is and why he's after David. This man was one of the two men in the hospital attempting to kidnap David slightly earlier in the episode. No one knows Emily has captured this man not even Nolan. Will she get the answers she's looking for? Let's hope she does on the up and coming episode-Season 4 Episode 9 "Intel" airing 11/30/2014
I have to give huge kudos to Shonda Rhimes for being able to wrap up three shows with very different plots and on very different paths for their winter finales which all aired on the same day. 'Gray's Anatomy', 'Scandal' and 'How To Get Away With Murder' all had their share of drama and shocking conclusions.
GREY'S ANATOMY: Now in its 11th season Grey's Anatomy is still going strong and shockingly with NEW DRAMA across the board. They have work drama and of course what's Grey's Anatomy without its share of relationship drama? As Grey's winter finale drew near we see characters having to make decisions about their relationships and careers. Here is a breakdown of the shockers of the Grey's Anatomy winter finale:
Dr. Stephanie Edwards did a sonogram on Dr. April Kepner who is the wife of Dr. Jackson Avery. In doing so Stephanie finds out that the baby is having a problem with development including bone structure and it appears that the baby, although alive, hasn't moved from his position in a while. While doing the sonogram Stephanie also revealed to April the babies sex, which is A BOY! By the end of the episode the consulting Doctors all agree that there is nothing that can be done and if not sooner, shortly after birth the baby will only have hours to live. Jackson walks out of the elevator over hearing the discussion about a baby, his baby but he doesn't know until they refer to the babies sitting position inside the womb. The scene ends with Jackson asking Edwards what he was hearing.
Meredeth and Derek might be calling it quits after they challenged each other on a case where the patient needed two types of surgeries for two different issues, both needing to be done as soon as possible. Dr. Meredeth Grey was the consult for her half sister Dr. Maggie Pierce who felt that her surgery was most important and needed to be done first while Dr. Derek Shepherd consulted with Dr. Richard Weber who both felt his surgery should be first. In the mist of all of that Meredeth begin to question if she was just challenging Derek because she resents him for his decision to not take the job offered to him by the President of The United States. Derek was trying his hardest to let her know that he really was concerned about his patient and that this wasn't about their relationship or him challenging her. By the end of the episode Derek was walking away from Meredeth after accepting the Job offer from the President by phone in front of Meredeth. Meredeth told him to go in a way as if she never wanted to see him again and he walked away without looking back. Meredeth and Maggie ended up doing their surgery first.
SCANDAL: There is so much going on with Scandal, I don't know where to begin lol. I guess I'll start with none other than OLIVIA POPE who now knows that her mother has been kept alive and in a hole by Poppa Pope aka Rowan aka Command. So now not only does Olivia have to worry about her father she also has to worry about her mother who is a terrorist and an assassin.
RECAP: Olivia and President Fitzgerald Grant haven't been kicking it like usual especially after last season when she ran off to a secluded island and told absolutely no one where she was going. To make matters worse she wasn't on that secluded island along but took Jake Ballard with her. Every since she made her way back to the States, Fitz is feeling some kind of way. Olivia told him there was hope that she would be with him only if he takes care of Jake after they arrested him for the murder of Fitz's son, which he didn't commit but is being framed by Olivia's father.
NOW: Olivia has been told by her father that she will miss him when he's gone. This is after she attempted to shot him but didn't know that the gun wasn't loaded. What's Scandal without all the relationship drama right? Here is a break down:
Mellie finds out that the VP is also sleeping with Lizzie Bear. Mellie and the VP started a little fling last season that was quickly shut down by Fitz and Olivia due to Fitz's re-election campaigning and run.
Olivia tells Jake that she wants Vermont with Fitz and to stand in the Sun with him but she refuses to choose so she tells him that she chooses herself. She states all of this before Jake comes out of the room from grabbing pillows and a blanket to find that Olivia is MIA. This was the ending scene. It appears as if she's been kidnapped.
Fitz and the VP are exchanging words in the Oval office. Fitz is being told by the VP that he should have raised war but he didn't. He threatened what Fitz-quote on quote- loves the most, which is Olivia and at the moment Fitz was telling the VP that he better not touch her, hurt her. The gladiators also found out that the VP staged his own assassination attempt to get the war started.
Momma Pope is in jail and Poppa Pope is moving on and cleaning house. Will he come back to save Olivia if she's been kidnapped? Will Olivia go through torture? How will Momma Pope get out of jail? So many questions, I guess we'll find out after the winter break!
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER: HTGAWM has revealed the killer of Annalise's husband, Professor Sam Keating and that left us with an even more griping twist at the end that Annalise knows.
A LITTLE HISTORY: About two episodes prior to the Winter Finale, Annalise finds out that Sam may have gotten the student-who has been found murdered-pregnant. With knowledge of this information Annalise has assumed that Sam did kill the student because he found out she was pregnant and it was an attempt to cover his relationship with the student. Since the student's body has been found they have had several suspects including Rebecca Sutter. Rebecca for now seems to be innocent and she's one of the reasons why Sam ended up being murdered out of what seems to be self defense.
WHAT HAPPENED: Rebecca who was initially accused of the murder of the dead college student has become the love interest of Annalise's student Wes Gibbins. Wes will push the limits and will do what it takes to prove Rebecca's innocence and keep her out of Jail. Wes at one point blackmailed Annalise in order to get her to bring Rebecca back home from out of hiding. Wes warned Rebecca to lay low telling her that he will take care of everything but instead Rebecca along with ex cop Nate Lahey decided to take matters into their own hands. Nate has recruited Rebecca to go into Annalise's home and retrieve information off of his computer; Rebecca agrees. Sam is at home alone when Annalise's student Michaela Pratt comes knocking on the door. The only reason why she's there is because she wants to discuss the prize trophy with Annalise. Sam makes Michaela aware that Annalise isn't home. At this point Rebecca comes creeping in to walk up stairs and get information off Sam computer. Sam catches her she runs up starts, Michaela freaks out and calls Wes for Rebecca. Wes is on his way to Annalise's house with two other students, Connor Walsh and Laurel Castillo. Wes and the other student arrive to find Rebecca locked in the bathroom; she has Sam's computer and she's saving information onto her hard drive. Wes calms Sam down because at this point he's beating on the door trying to get her to come out. Once Rebecca had all the information saved she walks out the bathroom only for Sam to jump her on her way out. The other students are hysterical and Wes is trying to defend Rebecca. The fight moves into the hallway and Michaela pushes Sam off the star balcony while defending Rebecca. They all rush down stars assuming he's dead only for him to start choking Rebecca as they were discussing what to do in their current situation. Wes then clocks Sam upside the head with the prize trophy that each student works so hard to get in their possession.
THE TWIST: While the other students are waiting on Wes to return from helping Rebecca, Wes returns back to the scene of the crime. The other students are gathered in the woods to discuss their next moves. Wes goes back to get the murder weapon, the trophy. As he's there he picks up the trophy and looks over Sam's dead body and says "I'm sorry" only for the scene to later flash to a voice saying "Don't Be." That voice is the voice of Annalise herself; she's sitting at her desk in the dark looking down at Sam's dead body. She knows throughout this episode she's been covering her tracks preparing for a full on Murder cover up!
The winter finale ended with Annalise calling the cops and reporting Sam as missing or ON THE RUN because she confronted him about the murder of the student he was having an affair with. She is going to make the cops aware that she knows he slept with the students and that she believes he got her pregnant. Annalise and Wes are in this thing together but something tells me that their partnership is going to be full of drama and that when it comes to his loyalty to Rebecca and Annalise, Rebecca will always win until she's proven guilty of something! -TVandPopcorn

It's official! After last night's Shondaland line up I feel that "Scandal" and "How To Get Away With Murder" should switch titles! I sat up and watched all three of Shonda Rhimes' ABC shows which also included "Grey's Anatomy" and all three were off the chain!
Here is the question of the moment right... Why do I feel 'Scandal' and 'How To Get Away With Murder' could switch titles and neither show would be affected? Let's examine the facts shall we?
SCANDAL: Scandal is now in its fourth season. Right now Olivia is stuck in the love triangle of two men, one who is the President of the Unite States and the other a Captain, who use to be Command for a brief moment. Here is the kicker, both men have committed murders and in both cases either A. the bodies will not be recovered or B. it was done so discreetly and at the right time that no one would ever know.
Sally Langston, the former Vice President who served alongside President Fitzgerald Grant his first term in office, killed her husband after finding out he slept with a man. Sally always knew he had issues and couldn't keep to himself but once she saw the proof she completely lost it. Only a few people knew she killed her husband and they staged it to make it look like he had a heart attack in his sleep. She went on to run against Fitz during his second term run for President.
Moving up to speed in Scandal's S4E8 "The Last Super" Poppa Pope aka Command aka Olivia's father is sitting in a restaurant with Olivia who is setting him up to be arrested; at this point they have snipers on the roof and surrounding the restaurant and as Poppa Pope is giving his speech to Olivia about how she's betrayed him, he makes her aware that he's taking out the snipers who are waiting to take him out if he doesn't cooperate. The bodies of the snipers start hitting the ground; Poppa Pope doesn't flinch; he finishes his speech, walks out the door and gets in his nice Government vehicle and rides off. Like nothing every happened. The whole time Jake, The President and his staff are all watching and listening as this is taking place. Not the mention Olivia's mother who has also done her share of killing including blowing up an aircraft that killed 300 plus people; the public doesn't know she exist.
Annalise's students from HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER could learn a thing or two from the Scandal characters. They commit murders, cover them up, bury bodies where they can never by found and if they are found they pin it on the next, worthless, jobless Joe or stage it to look like something else completely, continue living their lives, and on to the next one. This is why I jokingly say Scandal could take on the title of HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER with no problem!
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER: How To Get Away With Murder is in its first season. At first I had my doubts about the show because I really didn't understand where they were taking it. As of S1E8 "He Has A Wife" I'm now sitting on the edge of my seat because the plot has definitely thickened.
Where we are right now; we have a defense attorney (Annalise) who is married to a professor who slept with a student who has been found murdered and now they just discovered she was 6 weeks pregnant and it's suspected that it's the baby of Sam, Annalise's husband.
I found myself laughing as I watched both 'Scandal' and 'How To Get Away With Murder' back to back. In one show, 'Scandal' everyone is getting away with murder and in the other show 'How To Get Away With Murder' evidence is flying everywhere, people are scrambling and bodies are being found and the plot behind it all is so Scandalous!
Not only does Annalise have a cheating husband but she has also been caught slipping it to another man by one of her students. Annalise's husband Sam has also had a relationship with Annalise's assistant Bonnie. Bonnie found out everything from Sam about his relationship with the student that has been found dead. Bonnie also found out that he knew she was pregnant. As she received this information Sam went on to kiss her! WHAT? Yes this is a mad house, literally! Not only that we now have the lives of the students who are working for Annalise coming to the light and there is nothing but Drama.
ANNALISE'S COURT CASE S1E8: The case Annalise worked on in "He Has A Wife" was about a women who has a condition of sleep walking. She woke up to assume that she killed the nanny in her sleep. They have the accused on video outside with the nanny's dead body trying to wash away the evidence. By the end of the episode Annalise has discovered, with the help of a student that the husband of the accused was sleeping with the nanny. He caught a sexually transmitted disease from her and then the son came to him with the same sexually transmitted disease, which made the father aware that the nanny was also sleeping with the son. The husband of the accused then set up his wife, making sure she would have an episode of sleeping walking the night he decided to murder the nanny. Annalise called him out on this on the stand and he was arrested by the end of the episode. To my point, no one is really getting away with murder on 'How To Get Away With Murder' as they are on 'Scandal' therefore I jokingly say, with my proof on the table that the shows should definitely have a title swap. What do you think? - Monica/TVandPopcorn
Netflix has, since day one, been a brilliant idea and service. They have brought new meaning to watching TV. I stream Netflix mostly on Xbox Live so I'm able to watch TV on my big screen and in HD. Lately they have added so many shows and movies that it will make your head spin. I have sat for 15mins just looking through shows, documentaries and movies trying to decide what I wanted to watch. There was a brief moment in time where the choices weren't as great but now there is definitely something for everyone.
WHAT'S YOUR PREFERENCE? I love Netflix because I'm able to stream what I want and as of now it's commercial free. Netflix gives you the choice of watching exactly what you want, when you want and in some cases as much as you want. If you stream Netflix you can't tell me you don't splurge or binge watch shows that you've gotten into-lol! Lately there is one show that I've been hooked on that I absolutely love-"Off Limits" with host Don Wildman! This show is amazing and it originally airs on the Travel Channel. Usually when I sit to watch TV it's a suspense movie or fast pace thriller that gets my attention and when it comes down to comedies and I'm settling down for the day I'll stream 'THE OFFICE' also available on Netflix.
EDUCATIONAL: What I love about 'OFF LIMITS' is how educational it is; also Don Wildman makes it very easy to watch, you can tell his reactions to things and the knowledge he's receiving is intriguing to him as well. Don travels across America and he explores and discuss history and how things are/were made. I haven't seen one episode that I didn't find interesting and full of information. Some of my favorite episodes are when he travels to old industrial plants and discuss the history of the working class decades and centuries ago. Another interesting thing I've learned from Don's exploring was how Gold is found and how men work the Gold mines. I watched the full first season on Netflix and have been very impressed with how far Don will go to show you the truth behind the history and give you some knowledge nuggets. Education is good and you can also sit around with the kiddos and they can learn things that they may not get the opportunity to learn in school. I call this a ONE UP!
So if you're on the prow for what's HOT ON NETFLIX and you don't mind some education in the mist of your entertainment 'OFF LIMITS' is one show I highly recommend!-Monica/Admin/TVandPopcorn
"Victoria, GET THE HELL OUT", Emily Thorne demanded as she walked through the door of her childhood beachfront home she shared with her father David Clarke. This was the reunion we fans have been waiting for! So much happened in those last few seconds, mainly us all having a sigh of relief that he finally knows that Amanda is still alive! Of course this is not the end of their reunion and things will pick up where they left off in Sunday's up and coming episode "Contact". What's interesting in the Promo of "Contact" is the fact that Emily is the one with all of the questions, with all of the anger and pain. I've watched the ending of "Ambush" several times and David's reaction to Emily and the reveal of her being Amanda seems shocking to David but still his level of calm, having just discovered his daughter is alive is questionable.
WHAT NEXT?: I've read many of the Fan comments especially on Facebook and many can't believe that David would run to Victoria's aid even after what he'd just discovered. What happened to Victoria? It seems as if she was struck by lightning during a very bad storm as she was fleeing the beachfront home of David Clarke as Emily was confronting him. It does not appear that this was at all a part of Victoria's plan, although I do believe she would go as far as intentionally putting herself in harm's way just to keep David under her thumbs. After the explosion of sorts, David ran outside to assist Victoria who had been knocked out cold. Emily is standing in amazement that even at the very moment when she's having a heart to heart with her father Victoria still has a way of interrupting. This is where next week's episode "Contact" will pick up. Victoria is in the hospital which gives Emily more time with her Father to tell her side of the story. How much will Emily reveal to him? Will she put all the evidence against Victoria out on the table? Will David believe her? The fact that Victoria is out cold does give a sense of calm that might be just a little too easy so I think we should all embrace ourselves for what's coming!
PLAY DOE: There are several character plots in play right now which will definitely make the remainder of season 4 of Revenge very interesting and cutting edge. At the end of Revenge's "Ambush" we see that Louise, the chick from the mental institution, ran into Nolan before leaving the club Nolan purchased from the owner at the end of the episode. Nolan seemed to have a moment of Awe and fondness of Louise-that's kind of scary. Hopefully she doesn't become an issue for Nolan and Emily in the long run. In my opinion she needs to keep with the dealings of Daniel, Margaux and Victoria. YIKES!!!
Charlotte is out of the picture for the moment. When we last saw Charlotte she stated that she was checking herself into rehab and was leaving her mother to her devilish ways. Charlotte was in the backseat of a cab rolling along when she opened a letter that was addressed to her, that seemed to be from Emily, but was it really? I guess we'll have to wait to find out. Charlotte didn't leave town quietly. Before she left town in "Damage" she told Daniel Emily's little secret.
Daniel is dealing with women drama, as usual. It appears after this episode that he wants nothing to do with Emily/Amanda or Victoria's bitter feud, which was a relief. That seemed a little too easy though didn't it? If Daniel doesn't start thinking clearly and running the straight and narrow he's going to be ripped to shreds by women for the rest of his life. Margaux and Louise have their feud brewing as well which want turn out good no matter which way they spin it. If Daniel continues to work for Louise, who is clearly setting him up, he will surly regret it.
Jack and his partner Ben is investigating the death of Conrad Grayson. In this last episode they found the body of the guy with the half moon tattooed on his hands. This guy tried to kill David Clarke and kidnap Charlotte. In the room where his body was found was a knife that matched the brand or style of the knife that killed Conrad. Jack already assumes that Emily has something to do with the convenience of the body and the knife being discovered. It seems as if he's assuming she's trying to cover for her father. Jack is only investigating this to keep Ben at bay because Ben refuses to let this go and is trying to make Detective off of this case. Jack called Emily to question her about the details; she missed his call.
With so many plots into play and different characters with their share of issues and secrets the writers of Revenge must be having so much fun! I can only image. So who's going to come after whom? Who will get the upper hand in the up and coming episode "Contact"? The plot has definitely thickened so hold on to your seats and breathe easy that David finally knows! -TVandPopcorn
The official trailer for Fast and Furious 7 was released on November 1st 2014. Fast & Furious 7 is set to be released on April 3rd. 2015. The trailer is so good it makes you wish it was coming out a lot sooner but I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait.
BITTER SWEET: In the trailer we see some scenes of Paul Walker who passed away due to a car accident in Valencia, CA. November 30th 2013. I own all of the Fast and Furious movies but haven't been able to watch them since his passing. I didn't know Paul Walker personally and I've never met him but I've been such a huge fan of him and the others of The Fast and Furious franchise. My heart goes out to his family, his daughter and his friends. I can't image how they feel; I know I hurt but they hurt even more; they knew him and were able to be around him, have fun with him and experience his life here on earth. His scenes from the Fast and Furious trailer look intense and with the plot of Fast 7 they have to fight to stay alive. They are going after Ian the brother of Owen Shaw who was killed by Dom and the crew at the end of Fast & Furious 6.
Plot: Ian is seeking vengeance and he let Dom know how serious he was about coming after him and his crew when he killed Han in Tokyo Drift; this was a very interesting and shocking twist to the plot as we thought he was simply killed in the car chase in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift between D.K. (Drift Kid), Han and Sean.
Take a moment to check out the recently released Fast & Furious 7 Trailer below.

Fast 7 looks intense right? I mean they are truly taking it to the next level by bungee jumping out of an airplane in their cars. I'm looking forward to the release of Fast and Furious 7. In light of Paul Walkers death it is said they will give Paul Walker a beautiful and fitting end to his character Brian O'Conner something I know will make his family, friends and fans proud.
